Akshay Kumar is currently holidaying in Singapore with his mother Aruna and wife Twinkle. Their little daughter Nitara is also enjoying family time with them. As soon as the actor returns to the bay, he will sink his teeth into not one but two big-ticket projects -- Rohit Shetty's 'Sooryavanshi' and Karan Johar's 'Good News' directed by Raj Mehta. If hearsay is anything to go by the latter is likely to open on September 6, a few days before Akshay Kumar's 52nd birthday. The film, also featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani, is expected to roll in a few days after Akshay returns to Mumbai from his current holiday.
According to an industry source, "'Good News' will complete a hattrick of films for Akshay in the second half of this year. While 'Kesari' will open in March, 'Mission Mangal' will release in August, followed by 'Good News' in September and 'Housefull 4' in October. If his plans really work out well, Rohit Shetty and he may end up completing 'Sooryavanshi' within the calendar year and release it, too. If he packs in this punch, he will probably be one of those rare actors to achieve the feat of having five films in the same year."
In the midst of a packed calendar, the actor is gearing up to doff his hat to the cops at the annual police show over the weekend with a striking performance.
